Chefs play a key role in the success of any kitchen, which is why QTIC is supporting casual cooks in becoming professional chefs. Our Registered Trade Skills Pathway program provides flexible qualification pathways for those looking to advance from cook to certified chef. Upon completion, graduates earn the professional trade qualification; Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
The program is designed to break down barriers often associated with traditional trade pathways, acknowledging the valuable skills that working cooks already possess. The program also provides greater flexibility for participants, allowing aspiring chefs to continue their training even if they face unemployment, change employers, or relocate within Queensland.
Become a chef and receive $1,100
We’re offering great financial incentives, too – every graduate of the program receives a $1,100 cash bonus.
See yourself or your employees take their culinary career to the next level.
