Who we are

As Queensland’s independent and not-for-profit tourism industry peak body, we put our members first. We work with and for our members, to turn challenges into opportunities for a better tomorrow for Queensland tourism.

QTIC Membership is an annual investment, available to businesses, associations, and individuals who would like to access unique member benefits, connect with others in tourism, and help to influence and shape the future of Queensland’s visitor economy.

Delivering for you

We offer six membership levels so you can get even more value from your QTIC membership:

Tourism Supporter tile

Supporters will receive discounts on a range of programs and services, including a QTIC Member Welcome Pack, to promote their involvement with the industry.

Tourism Advocate tile

Advocate level is for those seeking to grow their business and expand their networks. As a Tourism Advocate you’ll have access to a range of programs, services and support, and discounts.

Tourism Champion tile

By becoming a Tourism Champion you will receive greater discounts on QTIC’s programs, access to a wider range of support services, and even more exclusive networking opportunities.

This membership category is for industry associations. Membership benefits are tailored to your organisation. Association members have the opportunity to join QTIC’s Associations Council.

By becoming a Corporate Member, your business will join a team of industry champions who seek to lead, influence and empower Queensland's tourism industry. You will also enjoy tailored benefits and the opportunity to further elevate your brand with sponsored events and programs.

Individual tile

We offer membership for individuals and professionals looking to be actively involved in the tourism industry. This membership category provides opportunities for professional development and networking with peers. Individuals are eligible to apply for the Queensland Tourism Futures mentoring program.

For more than 22 years, QTIC has been the trusted voice backing those connected to Queensland’s tourism, hospitality and events sectors.

We work closely with all levels of government to ensure the needs and views of Queensland tourism operators are considered in government decision making.
We work with decision makers to address and resolve issues faced by tourism operators, individually and collectively.
We work with industry bodies and sector organisations across the country to build new opportunities, drive investment and create a workforce for the future.

Our goal is to bring the world to Queensland, creating more opportunities for tourism operators across the state. We are committed to helping you build your business, grow your business and sustain your business. We offer many programs and services to support this growth.

Business capability

QTIC provides opportunities, tools and resources for tourism businesses to build their capability and improve outcomes, including accreditation under the Quality Tourism Framework.

Workforce development

We deliver a suite of programs to support businesses in attracting, retaining and on-boarding a skilled workforce. We provide programs to support career development, industry training and education including the Queensland Tourism Futures mentoring program and more.

Events

QTIC provides a range of networking events and industry functions that support businesses and industry professionals and connect them with their wider tourism community. We also host several of the state’s biggest tourism events, including the annual Queensland Tourism Awards.

Indigenous tourism

We are proud advocates for Queensland’s Indigenous tourism sector. We connect the tourism industry with First Nations communities and businesses through programs, resources and educational tools, including QTIC’s Indigenous Champions Network and Destination IQ.

Membership

QTIC membership is available for businesses, associations and individuals looking to connect with the tourism, hospitality and events in Queensland.

By becoming a QTIC member you have the chance to contribute to Queensland’s tourism industry, advising on the issues that are important to you, and strengthening the state’s visitor economy.

Members can also take advantage of all the QTIC has to offer, with access to a range of benefits including training and development programs, exclusive networking opportunities, and member only resources such as the QTIC Grants Gateway.

By becoming a QTIC member, you are supporting us in supporting you. The annual membership fee you pay allows us to continue advocating for a stronger tourism industry.

Our membership period runs for 12 months, from 1 July to 30 June.

Accreditations do not come with QTIC memberships. However, members do receive a discounted fee for accreditations. More information on membership benefits including accreditation discounts can be found in our membership prospectus here.

To access the QTIC member portal enter your registered email address and password into the QTIC website. If you have any issues logging in, please utilise the forgot your password option on the website or contact us.

Membership is an annual investment. Once your annual fee has been paid, you will have access to your member benefits for the duration of the financial year.

If you do not wish to take advantage of QTICs membership benefits, you can choose not to renew your membership in the following year.

By renewing your membership, you can continue to take full advantage of all that QTIC has to offer for the duration of the financial year. If you do not wish to renew your membership, please let the QTIC Membership team know at [email protected].

Payment and accounts

Membership is an annual investment for those who wish to improve their business and their industry. The cost of membership depends on the level you choose.

All membership levels will receive the same baseline benefits. Those with a higher membership level will receive a higher range of benefits, including exclusive support, tailored services, and further discounts.

Renewing Members: Renewing members will receive a renewing email with an invoice attached, payments can be made by direct debit or via credit card.

New Members: Once you have submitted your new member application form you will receive a new membership email with an invoice attached. Payments can be made by direct debit or via credit card. If you are an existing QTIC member, you will have received an email with instructions on how to renew your membership. If you have not received your membership renewal email, please email the QTIC Membership team at [email protected] or phone us on (07) 3236 1445.

Members who join QTIC and are members of their Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) will receive a discount of 25% on their membership fee.
