We are now accepting QTIC-Y membership applications. To become a member of the QTIC-Y netwok, simply complete the membership form.

QTIC-Y is a project founded by the Queensland Tourism Industry Council.  It is a Generation Y tourism network linking tourism students, employees, entrepreneurs and stakeholders. The network will encompass all sectors of the tourism industry, including tour operators, accommodation, travel, events and more. QTIC-Y will endeavour to strive for positive changes in the industry while working on issues affecting or of importance to Generation Y.

The network has three main objectives:

  • Raising awareness of and articulation of Generation Y priorities to wider industry, government and media
  • Networking within the Y community and the wider industry for job referrals, peer mentoring and training
  • Offering training, information sessions and business development support for members

Scott Pape Seminar - Who wants to be a Millionaire?

QTIC-Y in conjunction with HostPlus present Scott Pape - The Barefoot Investor.

scotty_-_small  Author of best selling book The Barefoot Investor,  and regular finance reporter on Channel Ten's The 7pm Project, Scott gives a common-sense, jargon-busting approach to all things money related - making it simpler for the younger generation to meet thier financial goals.

The 'Who wants to be a Millionaire' presentation is the newset session in the Ka-ching! Ka-ching! series, a funky new financial series on moneytude by HostPlus and Scott Pape.

Research shows that Generation Y are constantly looking for ways to further their education, skills and career through additional experience and employment opportunities. QTIC-Y will continue to work with industry to develop additional work experience programs for tertiary students, and use this website to post industry job opportunites.
